We at DrugDev, Inc. (“DrugDev” or “we”), along with our affiliates and subsidiaries, respect your concerns about privacy. This privacy policy outlines the kinds of personal information collected through this platform (the “Platform”) (“TrialSpace”) who it is shared with, and your rights regarding your personal information. This Platform is hosted by DrugDev subject to the Terms and Conditions. This privacy policy and consent for TrialSpace users (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we process information on you on behalf of our clients which are involved in pharmaceutical trials (such as pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (“CRO”) and clinical research associates, our “Clients”), and how this information is then used. By entering your data on the Platform you consent to its use in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may need to change these terms, for example if there is a change in relevant law or regulation. We reserve the right to do so and you should read the terms periodically to check for any changes.
COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Platform is designed to allow sponsors/CRO and patients to share and store trial information as well as interacting with each other. The information gathered from you as a patient user is likely to include your name, address, and other contact details (such as telephone, fax and e-mail). It can also include personal information gathered in preparation of or during a clinical trial in which you may have been involved such as, among others, medical history, trial updates, lab and study results, trial visits and examinations.
The information will include information that may be considered sensitive information under some data privacy laws. Your use of the Platform indicates that you have agreed that such data can be held on the Platform.
If you decide to use the payment services provided on the Platform your banking and financial information will also be collected by our payment service provider, Tipalti. You are not compelled to take payment through Tipalti and can refuse to use the system and request to pay by other means any such data will have controlled or processed by Tipalti directly. We do not have access to the data held by Tipalti and Tipalti will not obtain or process any of your personal data other than the payment data. If you decide to use their services, you will be given a separate notice and asked to consent to the use of data for those purposes. KEY USES OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share the information you provide to us with and on behalf of our Clients for the purpose of managing their pharmaceutical trials.
We may use your personal information to:- Create and manage your account,
- put you in touch with our Clients,
- manage your trial schedule,
- respond to and communicate with you about your requests, questions and comments,
- protect against, identify and prevent fraud and other criminal activity, claims and other liabilities,
- comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards and our policies.
- to answer your queries or complaints;
- to deliver our services;
- to provide materials;
- to carry out administration;
SHARING OF INFORMATION
We will not sell, trade, rent or otherwise pass on your personal information to others, except as described in this Privacy Policy or with your prior consent.
To achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy we may also need to give your information to the controller of your data, who are under contract with DrugDev, i.e. our Clients.
DrugDev reserves the right to transfer personal information about you in the event of the sale or transfer all or a portion of their business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation).
DrugDev may share personal information with service providers who perform functions and services on their behalf. Such third parties are provided with personal information necessary to perform the services but are not authorised to use such information for any other purposes.
DrugDev may disclose personal information about you (i) if required to do so by law or pursuant to legal process, (ii) in response to a request from law enforcement authorities or other government official, or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.
DrugDev may also share anonymous statistics for research or market development purposes.

Our Platform may contain links to other websites for your convenience and information. These websites may be operated by companies not affiliated with DrugDev. Linked websites may have their own privacy policies or notices, which we strongly suggest you review if you visit any linked websites. We are not responsible for the content of any websites that are not affiliated with DrugDev, any use of those websites, or the privacy practices of those websites.
TRANSFER OF INFORMATION
As DrugDev is an international company with Clients in countries around the world, your data could be transferred from one country, or continent, to another. This country could be outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”). The laws in these countries may not provide the same level of data protection as the laws in your own country.
PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.
We take reasonable steps to permanently and irrevocably anonymise or otherwise delete the personal information you provide once it is no longer necessary to maintain the information in an identifiable form in order to fulfil a business purpose or other lawful requirement.
Even though we take appropriate technical steps to protect your security, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and us are absolutely secure.
YOUR RIGHTS
Where provided by applicable law, you have the right to access and the right to object to data processing. You may request access to the personal information our Client maintains about you or request that our Client corrects, amends, deletes or blocks the information. We shall process your request of information to the Client and therefore you can choose to send us your request as indicated in the “Contact Information” section of this Privacy Policy. We shall then transfer such request to our Client. Where provided by law, you may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us or object at any time on legitimate grounds to the processing of your personal information, and we will request our Client to apply your preferences going forward.
YOUR CONSENT
By entering your personal information, you confirm and agree that:- you have read and understood this Privacy Policy;
- DrugDev will process your data on its Clients’ behalf, the latter remaining the controller of your data;
- banking and financial payment data will not be held or processed by DrugDev but will be directly collected by our service provider Tipalti who process them to carry on payments related to your trial;
- we may process your data according to the purposes set out in this Policy; and
- your data may be transferred worldwide to any country or location DrugDev does business. Any such transfer will be consistent with this Privacy Policy.
